Calculate your savings

With our gross salary calculator, you can easily and quickly calculate the savings you can achieve by ordering your work equipment through a gross salary scheme, instead of paying full price in stores.

Calculate your savings

The calculator provides an estimate of your potential savings through a Gross Salary Scheme, compared to purchasing the item directly from a store.

Insert price of a product

Enter the price of the product you found on Elgiganten or Power including VAT.

Example of a gross salary scheme

The example shows how the numbers in the calculator are related. It is not your final, personal savings. That depends on your salary, your taxation, whether your company provides subsidies for equipment, etc.

Lets say you have an employee who wants the latest iPhone, which costs 10,999 DKK in stores. The employee can purchase the phone through their gross salary scheme, which must last at least 12 months. Here, the price of the phone is distributed evenly over the 12 months.

Monthly deduction

In addition to the monthly price of the phone, the employee pays part of the VAT because the phone også can also be used privately. In total, the employee will be deducted 769 DKK per month BEFORE tax.

Actual difference in salary

When the employee receives their salary, their take-home pay will be reduced by 432 DKK. This is the amount the employee actually “feels” after tax. Over 12 months, this amounts to a total of 5,184 DKK .

Monthly payment adjusted

When the scheme ends, the employee can choose to return the phone free of charge or buy it out* for 1,649 DKK. If the employee chooses the buyout option, the total after-tax cost of the phone will be 6,833 DKK.

Employee savings

With a gross salary scheme, the employee saves 4,166 DKK for the latest iPhone, which normally costs 10,999 DKK. That's a saving of 37%.

*Return and Buyout

Because the equipment is provided by the company through a gross salary scheme and may also be used privately, the company remains the owner of the equipment during the agreement period. Therefore, the employee must pay a buyout price if they wish to purchase the equipment and become its final owner. Alternatively, they can return the equipment and even start a new scheme for new equipment.

A risk-free solution for your company

Avoid the hassle of disposing of outdated equipment. With our gross salary scheme, employees are free to choose the equipment they want to work with and decide what they want to do with it once the agreement ends.
