Although the NETOB network turned the situation around and found something positive in corona, they would still have preferred to do without it. Because some of their core business couldn’t operate as usual.
There is immense value in meeting in person, which cannot be underestimated.
“There’s something amazing about meeting at a network event with 80-100 people, and grouping with those you click best with. We can’t stop meeting – we just need to find a way to manage it, and fortunately, we’ve been good at that.”
The focus has always been on continuing to inspire businesses in Funen to keep moving forward. But as the two colleagues point out, “It’s always what you can’t have that you miss the most.”
They’re not afraid to admit that, of course, it has been difficult to come out of the pandemic stronger. While it has made them wiser about the networking side and they feel it has improved, they undoubtedly miss most of all sitting with 10,000 people in the stadium, surrounded by everyone from the NETOB network.
“But there’s also something charming about sitting in a smaller group in the stands, eating our VIP food, and cheering for OB.”
Naturally, however, the largest sponsor network in Funen cannot come to a halt.
“One could easily make a long list of things we miss, but we can also turn it around and ask: What things are working really well? It’s about taking initiative, and we definitely haven’t just sat on our hands.”
