Benefits of a Phone on a Gross Salary Scheme

Phones are among the most popular choices in a gross salary scheme — and for good reason! A mobile phone is nearly indispensable in many workplaces.
With a gross salary scheme, employees can get new technology at a lower price, while companies can offer more benefits to their employees at no extra cost.

The Latest Technology

With a gross salary scheme, companies can ensure that their employees stay up to date with the best and newest technology on the market.

Having the most optimal work phone can significantly enhance employees’ productivity and the value of their work.

Reduce Tech Waste

Neither employees nor companies will be left with an old, unused phone when the scheme ends or if an employee leaves.

Employees can either choose to buy the phone out of the scheme and become the final owner or return it to us — simple and hassle-free.

Easy Administration

Our user-friendly software makes it easy to keep track of employees’ mobile phones.

With everything managed in one place, you don’t have to worry about purchasing or repairing mobile phones — we handle it, so you can focus on more important things.

Good to Know

A gross salary scheme is a free employee benefit for companies.

Employees pay 19 DKK per month to actively use the scheme. The cost is automatically added to the gross salary deduction. Companies can also choose to cover this cost for employees.

In general, you can buy the same phones available at retailers like Elgiganten and Power.

Through our gross salary scheme, your company gets access to a personalized webshop, where you can choose which phones employees can purchase through the scheme.

If a specific phone is not listed in the shop, feel free to contact us at +45 89 808 404 or email hej@flexbuy.dk — we’ll find a solution.

A mobile phone purchased through a gross salary scheme will always trigger multimedia taxation.

What is multimedia taxation?
If a company provides a phone that you also use privately, you must pay tax on it. This is a fixed annual tax added to your income, as the Danish Tax Agency (SKAT) considers it a benefit from your employer.

Multimedia taxation applies regardless of how many benefits/products you receive.

You can read more on SKAT’s website here.

A gross salary scheme ends after 12, 24, or 36 months.

During this period, the company owns the phone until the employee chooses to buy it out. The buyout price is typically 15% of the phone’s market value.
