At the digital development agency Abtion, things work a bit differently. Since they follow an alternative workweek compared to most companies, they focus on creating a great development environment.
“Some might say it’s less attractive because there’s less flexibility now, but on the other hand, employees have Fridays off. Most people would prefer to have Fridays off and accept less flexibility on the other days”, CEO Andreas Bødker explains.
At Plytix, employees work five days a week, but they don’t have any rules regarding how many vacation days employees can take.
“You can take as many vacation days as you want, paid by the company, as long as you get your work done. It gives a lot of freedom to our employees, but we also expect results”, says Plytix’s CEO.
Martin Hegelund explains that Meneto’s central location in Copenhagen makes it an attractive place for new employees, and that it holds great value for those already working there.
“We’re located on Vesterbrogade 1. When you’re trying to build an international work environment, it’s essential to really invest in your location.”
But creating employee satisfaction doesn’t always have to cost anything. It’s also important to celebrate when something goes well, according to Andreas Bødker.
“By celebration, I mean mentally acknowledging that you’ve had success. When I say celebrate, I mean just stopping for two seconds and enjoying the moment. Reflecting on the fact that things are actually going well.”
